Voltage Drop
VOLTAGE DROP:  Is the reduction in voltage in an electrical circuit between the power source and the
security surveillance devices.  Voltage drop can occur in very long circuits, for example, connecting a home
to a separate building on the same property.  Excessive voltage drop will result in unsatisfactory operation
of electrical equipment, and represent energy wasted in the wiring system.  When installing a security
camera system over long distances, remember to make sure you have enough power supply for the
electrical circuit.
